Where our Story Began…
Hi there! My name is Imani Rivera, and I’m the founder and Executive Director of Same Story.
Same Story was birthed out of a desire to reach those in our local community who often go unseen, meeting practical needs while sharing the message of a God who sees, loves, and redeems. What started as a simple outreach idea quickly turned into a mission: to create consistent, intentional spaces where people feel supported, valued, and reminded that their story isn’t over.
We believe that hope isn’t reserved for a select few, but for every person looking for discipleship, direction, or just a reminder that they matter. Same Story is a nonprofit rooted in the Gospel and built on the belief that no matter where someone is, Jesus meets them there, and the love of Christ can turn any story around.

Same Story is growing into something more than just moments of outreach, it’s becoming a rhythm of showing up, serving well, and sowing deeply. As we look ahead, we’re dreaming bigger, listening closely, and continuing to as: “How can we love our community the way Jesus would?”
